Daily helicopter flights will soon improve regional connectivity in Himachal Pradesh. Heritage Aviation will launch the service from January 14. The company will operate the Helicopter Service from Shimla to Kullu in Himachal Pradesh under the government’s UDAN scheme.
The helicopter service will connect Shimla with Kullu and Reckong Peo. Flights will operate daily from Sanjauli in Shimla to Bhunter in Kullu. Another route will connect Shimla to Reckong Peo in Kinnaur.
Heritage Aviation will operate two flights daily on the Shimla–Kullu route. The fare will be INR 3,500 per person. The Shimla–Reckong Peo route will initially have one daily flight. Passengers will pay INR 4,000 per person.
The company will use a six-seater Airbus H125 helicopter for the service. The team successfully conducted trial runs on Thursday. The Himachal Pradesh government has assured full support for the project.
